Warm, friendly atmosphere! Wonderful breakfast and good service!

The Beyer Haus is a beautifully restored home with wonderfully appointed guest bedrooms (including little doll house sized "mouse" scenes placed in a little brick sized cut out of a wall in each bedroom). The private bath areas are spacious with modern marble or granite floors and shower areas. We also enjoyed a game of pool just prior to our departure in a large game room with a full picture window overlooking the front yard and street. Bill and Peggy are the innkeepers (originally from Kansas City) who moved to Minnesota to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Bill graciously prepared a room for us despite less than an hour notice! And Peggy is a gifted gourmet chef. Our breakfast was probably one of the best, if not the best meal presented in our 25 years of B&B experience. This full 4 course meal consisted of a moist and tasty cranberry scone with home made jam, a decorative banana boat with fresh fruits and a dollap of whip cream, followed by a bountiful quiche wedge, sauteed potatoes and german sausage. Absolutely delicious and filling! Due to lively and interesting conversation, our breakfast lasted over two hours, including the participation of our hosts. Delightful! The room rates at the Beyer Haus B&B are quite modest considering what we have paid at other locations. There is not only quality, but also value at this B&B, considering the unique beauty of each room, the full breakfast and the memorable comradship of meeting new people in the charming little city of New Ulm. I highly recommend a stay at the Beyer Haus B&B!

I completly relaxed the minute we stepped foot in the Beyer Haus- it is beautifully restored, very clean (even the hot tub) and very luxerious. This B&B compleatly exceeded our expectations. They have movies, snacks, hot tubs, and downtown within walking distance- what more could you want!

The hosts and the accommodations were beyond my expectations. We seven women and a wonderful stay (and loved New Ulm). I will be back, but this time with my husband. I am a a seasoned "b and b" traveler, and I am sincere about my recommendations of "outstanding"

Once we walked through the door it felt as if we had unplugged from the stressful pace of the modern day & stepped back a century to a more decadent time. The house is filled with period furniture & tasteful modern accents. Each common space had elements to bring people together; no electronics, rather there were puzzles & board games & a pool table to facilitate people communicating & visiting & sharing. The rooms were luxurious, the pure cotton bedding decadent, & the special touches in each room - from books on how to de-stress, to the floating soap petals & scented bath salts in the hot tub & whimsical furnishings allow you to leave your stress in the 21st century - & allow you to sit back & relax without a care in the world! With the central location we were able to walk to the shops & restaurants. We LOVED the gourmet steak house GORGE'S - decadent food that won't drain your pocket book. The neighborhood is simply lovely, & we felt safe & secure strolling day or night. Key to our Beyer Haus experience were our innkeepers, Peggy & Bill. Each afternoon we shared simple refreshments & conversation. Their friendly manner put us at ease, & made us feel like family. In fact, when we returned from dinner I nearly called out "Mom, we're home!" so Peggy wouldn't worry if we had come in for the night! Peggy & Bill make it THE Beyer Haus experience. It would not be the same without out them! One thing that must be mentioned - Peggy is a gourmet cook! Breakfast is always fresh & homemade. No stuffed French toast at the Beyer Haus, but instead fruit filled parfaits & home made potatoes & quiche. My husband & I could easily have split one plate with the generous portions provided - no one goes hungry during breakfast at Beyer Haus! We will definitely return to Beyer Haus next time we need to unplug & have a true vacation! Theresa Baker

First time in New Ulm. Bill met us when we arrived early and treated us like family. The happy hour was fun meeting and talking story with three other couples and meeting Peggy. The room was fun and comfortable. The house was cool. lots to look at and see history from another era. We really enjoyed breakfast, quite the multi course event and very good.

We have stayed 3 times at the Beyer Haus and have LOVED every time. It is safe, quiet and peaceful yet centrally located to all the major attractions that New Ulm has to offer. We truely enjoy the company of the hosts who are also very resourceful when it comes to knowing what is going on around the area. The breakfasts are even better than what "mom" makes. You will never leave the table hungry and they are always well balanced even for a picky eater like me :) No doubt about it, this is my favorite B&B! See you soon! Kay & Bill

A very lovely home within easy walking distance of downtown New Ulm. We stayed in a clean and intimate room which was warmly appointed with antique furniture, rich trim and comfortable linens. The very friendly, helpful and gracious host provided evening snacks and drinks for us and the other guests which made for a friendly atmosphere. Amenities such as the DVD library and complementary beverages made our stay that much more of a good value.

The owners of the Beyer Haus B&B were very nice and fun and my girlfriend and I had some great conversations with them. The Silverson Suite exceeded our expectations. We loved the heart shaped hot tub and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a delight as well. The owners knew the area well and were able to make some recommendations such as what to do for fun and where to eat.

We took over the inn for a girlfriends getaway and it could not have been a more fabulous weekend. The accomodations are beautiful, especially the attention to detail. Peggy even arranged for a massage therapist to come in during our stay. The food was fantastic. I can't wait to come back. The value is outstanding for everything you get - fresh flowers, happy hour, gourmet breakfast, jacuzzi tubs, plush robes... the list goes on and on. Thanks for a great weekend. We'll be back!

We just returned from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Beyer Haus. Peggy and Bill were wonderful, friendly and fun. We felt like we were staying with friends, not just renting a room. And speaking of rooms, our room was fabulous. The woodwork is outstanding, the bed was so comfortable, the robes were cozy, the tub divine. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I highly recommend Beyer Haus. We are already plotting our return!

My husband and I spent a night at the Beyer Haus and had a great time. Bill and Peggy were wonderful! We enjoyed our breakfast with another couple there as well. This was our first time at a B & B and we would definitely try another because of this experience, but would plan to spend more time next time!

Great! Beautiful! Wonderful! Rejuvenating for a couple! The Beyer Haus is the best B & B we have stayed in. I wish all people could experience the hospitality of Bill and Peggy. They would not go back to a motel again. There are many wonderful B & B's, and we have never been dissappointed in any of them. The Beyer Haus just happens to go a step further. The friendliness and cleanliness are unbeatable. Happy hour was a special treat. We enjoyed meeting people andhaving good conversation-breaks the ice a bit. Turning down the bed and chocolates on our pillows were an unexpected treat. A must see is the "Mouse House" in each room. I'll let your imagination run with that information. An awesome breakfast and early morning coffee in your room await you in the morning. We feel we have made new friends with the Beyers and look forward to staying with them again.
